During my 30 year employment as a lineman with Utah Power and Light, I won many awards for my nature

photography. I also worked with other art mediums, such as stained glass, metal sculpture and woodcarving.

After retiring, I moved to Sandpoint, ID where I joined the Artworks Gallery and began selling my carvings. It

was at that time I began to notice turned pieces and decided to buy a lathe. Life hasn't been the same since.

I joined the Inland Northwest Woodturners where I realized using the lathe and carving tools gave the end

result I was looking for.

The love of nature is reflected in my work which leans toward an organic look. Most of my creations have an oil

finish which brings out the beauty of the grain and feels natural to the touch.

I entered my first juried show sponsored by the Greater Vancouver Woodturners Guild and was awarded an honorable mention in the open

division. I was a featured artist on the Woodturner's Resource web site.

I find the hardest part of being an artist is starting. After that the ideas come effortlessly.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
